I've had several email requests to change the layout color scheme of the blog, to alleviate the eye strain some readers have been suffering. My initial concept with the colors was obviously a “camouflage/tactical” look. Rather than following my first instinct and telling them to “suck it the fuck up,” I decided to be a nice guy. They're welcome.
I still can't figure out why some of my words are inadvertantly high-lighted in grey though. I really need a serious class in computer tech skills, apparently. I should've been an Echo...

So, apparently, attempting to fuck around with the template layout was a horrible idea, because things are all dicked up now. I can't figure out how to change the colors of all the orange-colored text to black, nor the post titles, etc. I'm gonna say, the Hell with it, and leave it how it is right now, black text (as much as possible) on white background. I hope the content is enough to keep readers coming back without my worrying about some fancy assed layout.

Anyone who cares about a "fancy assed layout" rather than the awesome content is in the wrong place, physically (internetally?) and mentally. This is some of the best stuff on the internet, period.

ReplyDeleteMy color perception is absolutely TERRIBLE! In order to read your blog before the change, I had to copy the text into MS Word. But since you write so much good shit here, I was willing to suck it up and deal with it. But I do appreciate the color change.

I'll also assume you were an NCO or occifer in the Army, and that you know making your communications as easy as possible to read and understand is pretty important.
